How scoring works
1Pick three Canadiens players each game. You get 2 points per goal and 1 point per assist for each player you picked.
2Goalies are picked as a pair: tap the goalies and you get both (as one of your three picks), and you score for whichever one starts in net. You get 4 points for a shutout, 2 points if they allow exactly one goal, or 1 point if they allow exactly two.
3Once you pick a player, you can’t pick them again for the next two games.
4Predict the Habs’ score and the opponent’s score — you must call a decisive winner, no ties.
51 point for each team’s score you get exactly right, plus 2 points for calling the correct winner.

Star one of your three picks each game to double whatever it earns.
Playoff multiplier
Every point scored in a real playoff game counts 2×.
Hot streak badge
Score in three straight games and a streak badge shows next to your name.
GM of the Month
Most pool points in each calendar month gets a callout on the standings, with the month shown (e.g. 🏆 GM Oct).
Bonus questions
Some games (like opening night) come with optional bonus questions on the Make Picks tab — e.g. who scores the Habs’ first goal, whether there’s a fight, or total goals over/under. Each right answer adds the points shown next to it (shootout goals don’t count for the first-goal question). They’re answered automatically from the NHL’s play-by-play after the game.
Weekly rivalries
Each Monday-to-Sunday week you’re paired head-to-head with another pooler on that week’s pool points. Win the week for +1 pool point (ties get nothing). Habbie fills the odd spot and scores the pool’s average.
Texts & the Habbie McHabsface
If you gave Peter your number: a game-day text at noon, a reminder 15 minutes before puck drop if you haven’t picked, a heads-up if a player you picked isn’t in the lineup (it comes out about 30–40 minutes before puck drop; after that, only players who are dressing are listed on the Make Picks tab), and your results the next morning at 9. Habbie McHabsface, the pool robot, also posts the game-day lineup, a summary after each period and the final recap in Trash Talk — and you can ask him questions there: start a message with @habbie (try “@habbie help”).
Bold & italic
In Trash Talk and private messages, put stars around words for bold (*like this*) or underscores for italic (_like this_). On a computer, select text and press Cmd/Ctrl+B or Cmd/Ctrl+I.
Auto results
Final scores and stat lines are checked every few minutes once a game should be over and pulled in automatically — usually within minutes of the final horn. This page also checks for new results on its own every few minutes, so everyone sees them the moment they land, but it’s not truly live in-play.
